So I don't typically do this but I wanted to give you guys a review cause of how strongly I feel about this product. Now when I go to a pipe store and I look around I can't ever find anything that I can see myself using on a day to day. I barely like the ones I currently use and some could say I'm picky but I see it as wanting the perfect pipe. I then stumbled upon this when looking for a bubbler that I can take apart to make cleaning easier. Then I saw the whole metal frame so it's more protected. The fact it also turns into other pipes. The size is also fantastic I love how it feels in my hands perfect size to smoke from and a nice bowl which allows me to get the most I can. I still overfill it but I can also say it's very smooth. Got mine from somewhere else as it was on sale (last one they had) and it's black. I do like the black but wish I could have gotten another color like the green one. For anyone thinking bout getting a new pipe or first one then I can honestly say this is one you should consider. Now as it says in the title I am not a bot. I am a real person who wants to make it perfectly clear cause if I'm looking at reviews I want to know that yes this review is 100% from a real person. Not sure what else to say but thank you for this perfect pipe from Mike in Ottawa Ontario :D

Great piece. I love that it can be assembled and broken down quickly for travel. It's nice having a quality bubbler on hand. I have used it in all three configurations and the pipe and chillum options also work well. The pull isn't so massive that you'll torch the entire bowl but you can still get big hits out of it over a longer pull, in the bubbler configuration at least.

There are downsides. The bubbler down stem is a pain to clean. The down stem isn't open. It is curved glass with 4 slits on the bottom. You will get pull through that will build up. I have to flip the thing around under running hot water hitting one end then the other to work the pull through out. The build up will start to block airflow. It wasn't coming out yesterday so I tried to use a small metal edge. It broke a small piece of the glass. I understand I screwed up, but having a replacement kit that is constantly out of stock does not help.

The only other part is where the air pulls through from the main chamber to the little hole the one hitter screws over. This part can get clogged and you also just have to wash it while flipping it back and forth with hot water. There isn't any air pulling through once the little hole starts to clog up.

More stars if replacement parts were available and the design was a bit better.

A friend of mine brought this over and I ordered one immediately. The one flaw I found after using it the first time....the magnet that holds the cover on also grabs on to your lighter. Not a problem just mildly irritating. Otherwise I love my new toy..now I need it in pink. Oh and you should give a sample of Caliclean with it.

First of all I love the Hydra but there are some things that could be approved upon...

The fact that the Hydra can be broken down and cleaned is invaluable. That is the true beauty of this pipe.

The "lock" mechanism of the lower half is a design that is relished but the stem still has threads so it would be nice if it was uniformed.

The main lower body where the water is kept has an inside sleeve that is plastic? It scratches when cleaning since it is plastic...

Just a couple observations. I still love the pipe but obviously some corners have been cut...
